There are numeruos types of community-urban channels of communication in
Israel, such as community TV, regional radio sations, local newspapers,
electronic media, etc., in addition to national media.
Cooperation between the police and the various types of media raises public
awareness and motivates public action to reduce crime.

advice via the media about protection, unusual incidents, missing persons,
sexual offences etc. The media can also provide information about the public's
expectations of the police and the problems that bother them.
