This is the department of the I.P. which directs and operates all the units and forces carrying out the I.P.'s responsibilities for regular policing, public order maintenance, crime and terrorism prevention, protecting person and property, internal security, and the custody of prisoners and detainees.
Within the Department are 3 Divisions: Patrol & Policing, Operations & Internal Security, Bomb Disposal - and 4 Units : Personal Security, Helicopters, Negotiations, and the Etgar Vehicle Theft Prevention Unit.
